All about Richie
I am Richie Gitler, your new Vice President of Global Sales at Bestmix Software. It's a pleasure to connect with you and share a bit about my background and the exciting road ahead.
My professional journey has led me through a variety of industries, each offering unique challenges and opportunities. I've had the privilege of successfully leading sales and marketing teams in diverse fields, including the early days of desktop publishing, internet services, digital photography, risk management consulting, custom software development, and even electric bicycles.
My path began in the realm of desktop publishing, where I honed my skills in sales and marketing amid the rapid evolution of technology and was able to live and work in Holland. From there, I ventured into the world of Internet services, navigating uncharted territories to drive growth and innovation. I then found myself immersed in the captivating world of digital photography, where I discovered the power of visual storytelling and significant change (Kodak and Fuji did not want to stop selling us film and chemicals at that time).
My journey continued with a deep dive into risk management consulting, equipping me with a strategic mindset to tackle complex challenges at a global scale. That road took me further into custom software development, where collaboration with diverse teams resulted in tailored solutions for clients across various sectors. And, as fate would have it, I even ventured into the intriguing realm of electric bicycles, embracing innovation in unexpected ways.
Now, as we approach Bestmix Software's 50-year anniversary, I am genuinely excited to join a company that embodies a legacy of success and an unwavering commitment to innovation in such an important sector as feed and food optimization for our planet. It is very rare in today’s world that a company puts fifty years of refinement into one suite of technology solutions for a specific industry and has the size, scale, and support infrastructure to back it up. The challenge that lies ahead is both invigorating and inspiring: finding ways to overcome inertia with our customers in the Agricultural markets we serve. Most of us do not like change and my job is to help connect you with what Bestmix does in a way that inspires you to embrace it – not easy (Until you have a demonstration, of course). This is especially crucial in sectors like feed, pet food, and food production, where small changes like implementing Bestmix can yield significant positive results. Better raw material purchasing with our Formulation modules and ensuring quality with our QC solutions to reduce costs are two big examples I’ve seen have a very big impact on our customers’ bottom lines in a very short amount of time. That fact alone is inspiring for someone in a new role like mine.
Working closely with our accomplished global sales team, our sales focus will be on strategically reaching out to organizations that have yet to experience the benefits our solutions provide. As we collectively shape the future of Bestmix Software, I am eager to contribute my experience in driving increased customer connection, mutual revenue growth, a global perspective, and my passion for helping us innovate to our shared goals.
